John Falcke is an English artist who has been painting for more than sixty years.
He translates everyday experience into a modernist language of particular clarity and simplicity, freezing chosen moments or actions, by stripping away unnecessary marks, to present poetic images that are simultaneously familiar and original.
His paintings, sculpture and drawings have been seen by only a handful of colleagues, friends and family. Following a period of prolific creativity, the time is ripe for this unique body of work to be viewed by a wider audience.
A selection from his continuing lifetime’s work was exhibited for the first time in March 2018 at the Mall Galleries in London. His exhibition received a wonderful response and it was great to see such a large and appreciative audience.
